Account Deletion Guide
Purpose
This section walks end-users through permanently deleting their LoopLingo account, including what data is removed and what remains for compliance purposes.
1. Sign In
Log into LoopLingo on any supported device using your current username and password.
2. Open Settings
Tap Profile › Settings › Account (desktop: Menu › Settings › Account).
3. Select "Delete Account"
Scroll to Account Management and choose Delete Account. A pop-up summarises what will be erased.
4. Confirm Identity
Enter your password (or passkey/2-FA code) to verify ownership. This prevents accidental or unauthorised deletion.
5. Read Data Deletion Notice
• Message history, contacts, and media are queued for erasure within [X] days.
• Billing records and consent logs are retained as required by law (e.g., TCPA, GDPR).
• Group chats you created will transfer ownership to the next oldest member.
6. Acknowledge & Delete
Tick the acknowledgement box and tap Permanently Delete. You will be signed out immediately.
7. Email Confirmation
A confirmation email titled “Your LoopLingo Account Has Been Deleted” will be sent to the registered address.
8. Reactivation Window (Optional)
For the next [Y] days you may reverse the deletion by contacting support@[company].com from the original email. After that window, recovery is impossible.

Terms and Conditions Guide

1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account or using LoopLingo, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not accept the Terms, do not use the Service.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old (or the age of digital consent in your jurisdiction) and legally capable of forming a binding contract.
3. Account Security
You are responsible for:
• Maintaining the confidentiality of login credentials.
• All activities that occur under your account.
Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
4. Messaging Usage
• You may send text, images, audio, or video that you have the right to transmit.
• Standard carrier SMS/MMS fees may apply.
• You consent to the storage and processing of your messages to deliver the Service.
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
a. Harass, threaten, or defraud others.
b. Send spam, bulk, or unsolicited commercial messages.
c. Violate laws (e.g., TCPA, CAN-SPAM, GDPR, CCPA, or local equivalents).
d. Upload malware or engage in network abuse.
e. Reverse-engineer or interfere with the platform.
6. Fees & Billing
Basic messaging is free. Premium features (e.g., short codes, AI add-ons) are billed per the Pricing Page. Taxes are added where applicable.
7. Intellectual Property
The Service, trademarks, and all related software are owned by [Company Name] or its licensors. You receive a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the application.
8. Privaacy & Data Protection
We comply with GDPR, CCPA, and other privacy laws. See the Privacy Policy for data categories, retention periods, user rights, and contact details for our Data Protection Officer.
9. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your account for violation of these Terms or applicable law. You may delete your account at any time via Settings › Account › Delete Account (see guide above)
10. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, [Company Name] shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
12. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless [Company Name], its affiliates, officers, and employees from any claim or demand arising out of your use of the Service.
